Cook macaroni in boiling salted water for 8 minutes. Drain. Put empty pan back onto heat and melt the butter. Sprinkle the flour over the melted butter and stir constantly until flour and butter are well combined then cook 1 minute. Pour in the milk and stir well. When milk is hot add dried American cheese, stir until melted. Add shredded cheddar and stir until melted. Add 3 drops of hot sauce, approximately 1/8 tsp. nutmeg and 1 tsp. ground mustard. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and stir in cooked and drained pasta until well coated with cheese sauce and serve.

Can add bacon pieces, cooked dried brocolli, diced ham, onions, peas, or anything else you like.
