Flour steaks and lightly brown in a little hot oil in a heavy skillet. Add salt and pepper to taste. Lay browned steaks into a large casserole dish.

Add 2-3 tablespoons of flour to the remaining fat in the pan. If the meat is lean, you may need to add some margarine to the skillet to make the gravy. Add Worcestershire sauce and canned mushrooms to the gravy, if desired.

Pour gravy over steak (gravy should be relatively thing). Cover casserole and bake at 350 degrees for approximate 1 hour until meat is tendered.

Note- In lieu of making your own gravy, jarred or powdered gravy mix may be used.
