Thoroughly cream butter, peanut butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Press down with a fork—or original recipe suggests pressing 5 peanut halves onto top of each cookie (Dad doesn’t like
the nuts on top). Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly. (yummy when warm) Makes 4 dozen.
