1 lb. ground chuck, browned 1 lb is enough! 1 medium onion, chopped 1/3 cup red or green bell pepper chopped-can omit 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked 1 15oz can of stewed tomatoes or 2 or 1 regular can petite diced tomatoes-seasoned with garlic, onions and green peppers. 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce 4 cups of water 1 Tbs. sugar 1 Tbs. Italian seasoning or 1 tsp. basil and 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. garlic salt half tsp. black pepper halftsp. Cajun seasoning like Tony Chachere's (optional) dash of Tabasco sauce 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
brown hamburger with green pepper and onion.add the tomato sauce, seasonings, noodles. bring to boil & then simmer-don't overcook noodles. add cheese on top at end optional
Bill likes but me not so much...absolutely cannot omit Italian seasoning!!
