     Pork chops with Pineapple salsa

Ingredients
8 thick cut boneless pork chops
1 pkg white rice cooked
2 tbl minced peeled ginger
2 tbl vegetable oil
2 tbl soy sauce
1/2 tsp chinese five spice powder
1 bunch scallions...I used asparagus
pinch of red pepper flakes
1 pineapple, peeled, quartered and cored
 

Instructions
Cook rice according to directions. Season with salt and pepper
Cut off a 2 inch piece of the pineapple and grate it on the coarse holes of a box grater into a large bowl. Stir in the ginger, oil, pinch of red pepper flakes, 1 tbl soy sauce and 1/2 tsp five spice powder. Add scallions and pork chops and turn to coat...Let marinate for 2 hours
Rub the remaining pineapple with the remaining 1/2 tsp five spice powder, Preheat grill to medium high ..Grill pineapple and asparagus on grill until charred about 3 minutes. Remove from grill
Place chops on grill and grill 3-4 minutes on each side with cover closed. Meanwhile, roughly chop pineapple and asparagus,Add pinch of red pepper flakes,1/4 tsp sugar and 1 tsp soy saucem Mix and serve with pork chops and rice
