     Old Settlers Beans

Ingredients
1/2 pound group pork
1/2 pound sliced low sodium bacon, coarsley chopped
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup bottled KC barbecue sauce
1/4 cup catsup
2 tbls molasses
1 to 2 tsp chili powder
 
1 (31 ounce) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
1 (15 /2 ounce) can butter beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 1/2 ounce) can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained

Instructions
In large skillet, cook the ground beef, bacon and onion until beef is brown. Drain off fat. Stir in water, sugar, barbecue sauce, catsug, molasses, and chili powder. Stir in pork and beans, butter beans, and kidney beans. Transfer bean mixture to a 3 quart casserole. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring twice. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
