     Lion House Pie Crust

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup lard
1/4 cup margarine
1/3 cup shortening
1 Tbs granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. nonfat dry milk
1-1/2 cup pastry flour
 
1-1/2 cup bread flour
1/2 cup plus 1 Tbs. cold water

Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, cream together butter, lard, margarine, shortening using an electric mixer. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar baking powder, salt, and dry milk powder. 3. Add to creamed butter mixture and mix briefly. 4. Add pastry flour and beat until blended. 5. add bread flour and mix slightly. 6. Pour I water and beat again just until water is blended. 7. Divide dough into 2 or 3 balls. 8. Roll out each ball on a floured bread. 9. Line pie pan with dough and cut off excess dough. 10. Flute edges. 11. For recipes that call for baked pie crusts, prick holes in bottom with fork. 12. Bake empty pie shell at 37 degrees F for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown. 13. Otherwise, fill unbaked pie shell and bake according to recipe. 14. Makes 2-3 9-inch pie shells
