Ingredients
2 large onions
1-2 cloves of garlic
5 slices of bacon
1.2 kg potatoes
4 pork steaks (each approx 180 g)
Salt and pepper
2-3 tbsp oil
nutmeg
1/4 liter cider (apple wine)
 

Instructions
Peel the onions and cut into rings. Peel the garlic and chop finely. Cut the bacon into small cubes. Peel, wash and slice the potatoes. 2 Wash the meat and pat dry. Season with salt, pepper and garlic. Heat oil in a large skillet. Sear the meat in it from both sides. 3 Mix potatoes and onions. Season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Approx. 2/3 layers of the potatoes in an ovenable container. Meat slices on lay overlapping. Cover with remaining potatoes and sprinkle with bacon. Pour over the cider. 4 Cover and bake in preheated oven (electric oven- 150 ° C / fan 125 ° C / gas mark 1) for approx 3 hours. After about 2 hours remove the lid and bake over.
