Pour 1/4 c espresso into 4 coffee mugs. Stir in 1 Tbsp of vanilla syrup into each; add 1/2 c hot milk. Top with whipped cream; sprinkle with nutmeg (optional).
Vanilla Syrup Recipe- 1 c granulated sugar; 1 c water; 1 tsp vanilla extract. In saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until syrupy, about 5 minutes. Add vanilla extract. Pour into jar and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
