     Channa Masala

Ingredients
Red Channa Soaked overnight and drained
2 tbsp chilli powder
3/4 tsp jeera
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 onion
3 to 4 garlic cloves
Little tamarind or two tomatoes
A few curry leaves
Mustard
 

Instructions
Wash and boil the channa in a cooker with a little salt.
In a vessel heat some oil and season with mustard, curry leaves and crushed garlic.
Saute the onions until golden and add tomatoes. Add the powdered spices
Add the boiled channa without too much water. Cook for a few minutes or until the water is almost evaporated.
