     Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda dissolved in 2 tbsp. cream
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
 
Instructions
Cream shortening. Add sugar, eggs, soda mixture and vanilla. Add mixed flour, salt & cream of tartar. Chill. Roll out.
Try almond flavoring.
Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.
