Ingredients
1 Cup Butter And Shortening, Mixed
2 Eggs
2 Cups Molasses
2 Tsp. Ginger
2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Cloves
1 Cup Sugar
5 Cups Flour
3 Tsp. Baking Soda
 
1 Tsp. Salt
2 Cups Hot Water

Instructions
Cream together butter and shortening, and sugar. Add the beaten eggs and molasses. Then dry ingredients. Add hot water and beat until smooth. Bake in a greased 9 X 13 pan at 325 degree fahrenheit for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
