140g plan chocolate
2tbsp muscovado sugar
300ml double cream chilled
425g carton ready-made custard
Bream chocolate into small pan and add sugar and
cream. Heat gently without boiling until sugar has
dissolved and the chocolate melted. Cover and
leave to cool. (Alternatively you can microwave
mixture stirring occasionally until all is melted.
Add custard to the chocolate mixture with a whisk
until smooth
Cover and chill in fridge for about 30 mins. Put
in an ice-cream machine and churn for about 30
mins until thick and creamy
Transfer into a freezer container and freeze for
at least 4 hours until firm.
