     ELIZABETH HANZLICK’S PICKLES

Ingredients
Fresh cucumber slices
1 c. water
3 c. vinegar
4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 c. pickling salt
1 1/3 tsp. celery seeds
1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
 

Instructions
Mix the above ingredients till dissolved. Don’t heat syrup nor pickles. Slice cucumbers. Do not peel. Slice onions; as many as you like. Put in jars. Don’t need to seal, they will keep all winter in your refrigerator. This should be enough for about 3/4 gallon.
