     NEVER FAIL DOUGHNUTS

Ingredients
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 c. scalded milk
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. corn margarine
1 egg
4 egg yolks beaten
 
4 1/2 c. flour
GLAZE-
1 box powdered sugar
1 Tbs. cornstarch
1 Tbs. melted butter
1 Tbs. sweet cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add vinegar, sugar, salt, and margarine to scaled milk. When lukewarm, add yeast, egg, and egg yolks. Add flour to make a soft dough. Let rise. Roll out 3/8in thick. Fry in oil at 375-400 F. for 2 minutes on each side. Glaze while hot. GLAZE- Add enough water to make a glaze. Dip hot doughnuts in glaze. Place on rack to dry.
