     CINNAMON COFFEE RING

Ingredients
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2-3/4 c. sugar, divided
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. (16 ounces) sour cream
 
2 Tbs. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and 2 cups sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla; mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Spoon a third of the batter into a Pam sprayed 10 inch tube pan. Combine the cinnamon, nuts and remaining sugar; sprinkle a third over batter. Repeat layers twice. Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
