     GLAZED BANANA-NUT BREAD

Ingredients
2 1/3 flour
3 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1 c. sugar
3 large eggs
3 large
ripe bananas, mashed
 
½ c. chopped pecans (about 2 ounces) optional
Glaze-
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. milk

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pam spray a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat together butter and sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in bananas. Gradually beat in flour mixture until blended. Stir in nuts. (optional) Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake bread until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 minutes. Transfer pan to a wire rack to cool for 10 minutes. Turn bread out onto rack to cool completely. To prepare glaze, mix together powdered sugar and milk. Pour glaze over bread, allowing some to drip down sides.
