     Utah Basic Biscuits

3 cup Utah basic mix
2/3 cup water

Heat oven to 450. Mix water and mix together until a soft dough is formed. Knead dough 10 - 12 strokes on a lightly floured board. (DO not overknead, this makes tough biscuits). to form the biscuits: Pick one: Roll 1/2 thick, and cut using biscuit cutter or glass turned upside down, dipped in flour. OR pat into a rectangle and cut into squares.
Bake on ungreased shiny baking sheet 10 - 15 minutes.
Variations: drop biscuits ( no kneading or rolling required) increase water to 3/4 cup, drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet or into well greased muffin pans.
More variations: add 1/4 cup grated cheese, or 2TBS snipped fresh parsley or other fresh herbs, or raisins to mix before you add water.
