Cream butter and sugars together, add eggs one at a time,molasses and water. Fold in dry ingredients, then raisens. Refrigerate until chilled or orvernight. Divide dough into similar size balls, roll into long strips (if you have baking sheets with no sides you can do this right on the cookie sheet) Place strips on cookie sheet and brush with egg white wash. After baking score with knife into individual cookies, when cooled cut through.
Bake at 350' for 12-15 minutes depending on thickness.
