in a 4 quart pot, add sugars, cocoa, milk and butter. bring to a boil stirring constantly.
stop stirring and cook at a boil until 238F

remove mixture from heat, let stand without stirring until lukewarm or 120F
|
|
|
add vanilla and chopped pecans. continue beating until mixture holds a shape
|
|
|
Spread mixture quickly in a greased 9x9 pan. let stand until firm.
then cut with a sharp knife into 1 in pieces. press 1 pecan half into each square.
Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.
