     JEAN’S CARAMEL SNICKERS CANDY

Ingredients
11 1/2 oz. pkg. (2 cups) milk chocolate chips
2 Tbs. vegetable shortening
2 Tbs. water
5 Tbs. butter or margarine
14 oz. Kraft caramels (48)
1 c. coarsely chopped peanuts
 

Instructions
Melt first two ingredients and microwave 90 seconds and stir. Melt next three ingredients in separate bowl two to three minutes. Stir periodically. Add peanuts. In foil lined 8 inch square pan spray pan with Pam lightly. Spoon half chocolate and pour caramel over chocolate. Refrig. 15 min. or until tacky. Pour rest of chocolate on top. Chill at least an hour. Cut in squares.
