Soften yeast in luke warm water, allow to stand 10 minutes. Scald sour cream, cool to luke warm and stir in soda, salt, and sugar. Combine yeast with sour cream mixture. Add beaten eggs, half of flour sifted with mace, beat until smooth and bubbly, add the rest of flour and mix good and turn.
