     Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
1 pkg yeast
1 tsp salt
3/4 c lukewarm milk
5 Tbsp sugar
4 Tbsp butter (melted)
4 c flour
1 egg
 
Filling:
1/2 c sugar
1/3 c softened butter
1 tsp (or more to taste) cinnamon

Instructions
Dissovle yeast in 1/4 c warm (not hot) water. Add milk, butter, salt, sugar and egg. Add 2 cups flour and mix very well. Add remainder of flour and mix again. Cover bowl with a towel or waxed paper, let rise until doubles in size (about 1 hour). You can mix together the filling ingredients while you wait.
Turn out on floured surface and roll out to a 1/4" thick rectangle. Spread filling out to 3 edges, leaving one edge free. Roll up (as for a jelly roll) from the opposite edge, rub a little water on the free edge so it seals.
Cut into slices 3/4" to 1" thick. Place in greased pan, leaving space between the rolls. Let raise again (about 45 minutes) until double.
Bake at 400oF for 10 minutes. Don't let them get too brown. I eat as-is or you can spread your frosting of choice on top.
