     Fruit Cake

Ingredients
1 1/2 doz eggs
1 1/2 lbs butter
1 lb sugar
3 lbs cut mixed candied fruit
1 lb cherries
2 lbs dark raisins
1 lb golden raisins
1 lb pineapple
1 lb red cherries
 
1/2 lb green cherries
1 18oz jar apricot preserves
1/2 lb pitted dates
1 lb flour (5 cups) 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground ginger
1 cup honey

Instructions
Beat eggs, cream butter and sugar. Add mixed fruit which stood overnight in 1 1/2 cup peach brandy. Add honey. Sift dry ingredients and mix. Turn into well greased and floured tub pan. Cook at 250 degrees for 3 hours. Store in cool place.
