Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped nuts on greased glass dish (9 inch circle). Coat top 2 inches of bowl with butter (2 qt bowl). Put rest of butter in bowl with sugar, salt, water. DO NOT STIR. Microwave on high 11 minutes. Pour over pecans. Sprinkle with chocolate chops. Let stand 1 minute. Spread chocolate top with remaining 1/4 cup nuts. Cool completely.
