Season steak with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Heat pan with
nothing in it (no spray or oil). When pan seems hot, pull off heat for
a second and add a little bit of olive oil...just about a tablespoon or
so...just to keep steak from sticking.
Put pan back on heat and put in steak, seasoned side down. Turn
heat down, like when cooking hamburgers. Cook about 3 minutes
and turn over and cook about 3 minutes more.
Cooking time really depends on thickness of steak. To know if its
done, cut into the center with a knife and look at color. Remember
that steak should be eaten medium rare, so it should look nice and
pink inside.
