     Garlic, Sesame, Ginger Marininated Flank Steak

Ingredients
Marinade Paste:
4 tbsp toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled, minced
2 shallots, minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
Approx. 2 - 3 lbs. flank steak
 

Instructions
Puree all ingredients in blender until smooth. Place flank steak in large baking dish. Using a fork, prick steak about 20 times on each side. Rub both sides evenly with salt and then with marinade paste.
Cover w/ plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 6 hours. When ready to cook, heat your grill as usual.
Using paper towels, wipe paste off steak. Re-season steak with salt and pepper on both sides. Grill steak on med to high heat for approx. 6 minutes each side for medium rare. Let meat rest for 5-10 min tented w/ aluminum foil prior to carving.
Slice steak about 1/4 inch thick against the grain on bias/angle. Serve immediately.
Serving Suggestions
Great with Creamy Mashed Cauliflower.
