     BARB’S CHEESE CHOWDER

Ingredients
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
2 Tbs. butter or margarine
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 can non-condensed chicken broth
1/4 c. finely diced carrots
1/4 c. finely diced celery
dash salt & paprika
1/2 c. cubed processed American cheese-I use about twice as much.
 

Instructions
Cook onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour. Add remaining ingredients except cheese. Cook & stir till thick & bubbly. Reduce heat; add cheese and stir to melt. Simmer 15 minutes. Serves 4.
