Ingredients
1 Cup Crisco
1 tsp Vanilla, clear vanilla if you want white frosting
4 cups sifted Powder Sugar
2-3 Tablespoon water
pinch of salt
 

Instructions
Whip the Crisco until fluffy. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar and a pinch of salt and water. Makes a stiff frosting.
You can add color either with liquid food color or use Wilton's paste color for a deeper and richer color.
For icing a cake or cookies add another 2-3 tablespoons of water to make it the consistency you desire for spreading. If you get it too thin, just add more powdered sugar.
This will keep indefinitely in the refrigerator. To use just bring to room temperature and whip with a fork or whisk.
