In mixing bowl, combine pie filling, whipped topping mix, milk and vanilla on low speed of electric mixer until blended. Increase speed and beat until very thick, about 3 minutes. Pour 1/3 of mixture into crust. Layer slices of banana on top, reserving 1/2 banana for garnish. Pour remaining filling into crust. Chill 2 hours. Garnish with sliced banana and additional whipped topping, if desired.
