     Lemon Almond Cheese Cake

Ingredients
Recipe is for an 8 inch square pan. Double if using and 9x13 inch pan.
CRUST INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup soft butter
1/3 cup ground almonds
2 tsp. sugar
1 cup flour
1/3 cup ground almonds
2 tsp sugar.
 
CRUST DIRECTIONS-
Mix all of the above ingredients together until it forms a ball. Then press into the pan
Bake for 15-20 minutes on 350 degrees.
CHEESECAKE LAYER
1 PKG OF 8 ounce cream cheese
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 tub whipping cream.

Instructions
Make the crust as directed above and bake. Crust should be cool to touch before adding cream cheese layer Beat all cheescake ingredients together. Then add 1 tub of cool whip. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the baked crust.
Lemon Layer 1 Lemon pie filing prepared as the box instructs but exclude the butter at the end. Cool to look warm and spread over the cheese layer.
Topping- spread the remaining cool whip over the top of the lemon layer and garnish with slivered almonds.
