Salt and Pepper both sides of Brisket. Brown both sides of meat in light cooking oil, sealing juices. Place meat into slow cooker(crock pot) and cover with sliced onions.
Mix together- Tomato paste, BBQ sauce, worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic and Brown Sugar. Season to your taste with salt and pepper.
Pour mixture over Brisket...pour Rootbeer over meat.
Cook on Low for 6 hours
Slice and serve
