     Main Street Cafe Clam Chowder

Ingredients
1/2 gallon water
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped carrots
2 cups chopped peeled potatoes
2 cups chopped clams
2 Tbs. clam broth
1 can of clam juice
1 quart of heavy cream
 

Instructions
Bring water to boil, add onion and celery, cook until about 3/4 soft. Add carrots and potatoes, and 2 cups chopped clams, bring to boil, boil until soft.Add 2 tbl. clam broth, 1 can clam juice. Add 1 quart of Heavy Cream stir,cook on low until warm. To thicken make a rue of flour and milk and add as need, continued to stir while adding. Bring to low boil to thicken..
This makes at least 12-13 good size bowls,taste great with warm sour dough bread.
