1/3 c. sugar
2 Tbs. cornstarch
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
2 Tbs. margarine or butter
1 tsp. vanilla

In a microwave-safe mixing bowl, combine sugar and cornstarch. With a hand mixer, beat in milk and egg yolks until smooth. Microwave on medium for 5 minutes. Beat well with mixer. Microwave on high for 2 minutes; stir. Blend in margarine and vanilla. Pour into serving dishes; cool.
