Mix first 4 ingredients together, then make a well in center and add 3/4 pound of butter , separate eggs and add yolks 1 at a time beating well after each. Whip whites until set work in gradually, add vanilla. Let set up to 12 hours. Roll into walnut size balls and place onto waffle iron or pizzell iron. cook 1-2 minutes turn out onto wax or parchment paper. store covered tightly
