Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift/stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Chill for at least one hour.
Drop on baking sheet with a spoon. Bake at 400 degrees 8-10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
