     Macaroni casserole

Ingredients
2 cups of macaroni / any kind of pasta
Veggies – carrots / peas / beans / potato / cucumber chopped into one-inch pieces
100 g cheese
Two tablespoons butter
Salt and chilli powder and pepper
Any herbs / spring onions for extra flavor
Maida – two table spoons
 

Instructions
1. Boil the macaroni / pasta with enough water and salt. 2. Cool the macaroni instantly after required softness is achieved with cold water and keep it aside 3. Switch on the oven at 160°C to preheat.
4. In a wide pan, heat two tablespoons butter and fry all the veggies for a while – make sure they don’t cook completely or get too smooth. 5. Add salt and chilli powder and pepper as desired. All any herbs that you might want to add. 6. Mix the two table spoons of maida in a cup of water and pour on the half cooked vegetables.
7. Switch off the heat and add cheese and stir. 8. Lastly add the cooked macaroni and stir well before transferring to a baking tray 9. Bake for 12-15 minutes before taking out. Adding extra butter or cheese on the top of the baking tray before baking gives extra flavor and crispiness.
