     Gerry's Carmel Corn

Ingredients
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 tsp salt
1 tbl vanilla
1 tsp soda
7 quarts popped popcorn
add 2 cups dry roasted nuts optional
 

Instructions
Mix and boil 5 minutes the first 4 ingredients. Add vanilla and 1 tsp soda and beat until foamy. Pour over popcorn. Mix well, spread on flat pans and bake at 200 for 1 hour, stir occasionally.
