Place apple or cherry pie mix in a Pam sprayed 8 by 8 inch pan. Sift on top the yellow cake mix, add the quick oats. Pour the melted margarine over top. Sprinkle nuts on top (optional). Bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees, then turn heat to 300 degrees and bake for 30 more minutes.
