CHERRY CAKE… 8 oz cream cheese, 1 cup margarine, 1 1/2 cup
sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 4 eggs, 2 1/4 cups sifted flour, 1 1/2 tsp.
baking powder, 1 cup maraschino cherries, 1/2 pecans or walnuts
chopped. Combine cream cheese, margarine, sugar and vanilla
until well blended. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each one.
Gradually add 2 cups flour mixed with baking powder. Mix the
remaining flour with the cherries and chopped nuts. Fold nut
mixture into batter. Bake at 325 degrees for about one hour and
fifteen minutes…
