     Chex Mix ala Grandma Ruth

Category   Appetizers
Sub Category   None
Preptime   1hour

Ingredients
3 cups each rice chex, corn chex, wheat chex
3 cups cheerios
3 cups pretzel stix or minipretzels
3 cups spicy cheezits (or plain or cheddar if you prefer)
3 cups nuts of choice ( peanuts, cashews, pecans, mixed nuts)
1 stick of butter or margarine
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons hot sauce ( like Franks or Tabasco)

4 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
(1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper if you like it hot)

Instructions
Put cereal, pretzels, cheezits, and nuts in a large pan, like a turkey roaster.
Melt butter. Add oil and the remaining ingredients, stirring well. Pour butter and spice mix over dry ingredients, stirring well to coat evenly. Spread out in pans no deeper than 2 inches.
Roast uncovered in 275 degree oven, stirring every 15 minutes for 1 hour.
Feel free to adapt recipe by leaving out what you don't like and adding things that you do....pita chips in place of cheezits, for example, or using all gluten free cereals and crackers.
Serving Suggestions
With beer while watching Super Bowl!
