Sarter- Mix flour and water in glass or crockery container. coverwith a towel or cheesecloth and leave on counter top 3 or 4 days until bubbly and sour smelling. Stir once a day. refrigerate after 4 days. then it is ready to use. If you use 1/2 a cup of starter then add 1/2 c water and 1/2 cup flour to the original starter. Leave overnight on counter then cover not air tight and place back in the fridge.
