In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add the flour and oats; mix well. Pour into a Pam sprayed 11 x 7 x 2 baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle with chips; when melted, spread chocolate over bars. Top with nuts.
