Ingredients
1 cup dried chick peas soaked overnight in cool water
1 medium onion
4 large cloves garlic
1/2 cup loosely packed fresh parsley
1/2 cup loosely packed fresh coriander
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp mild chilli powder
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
 
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp black onion seeds
1/4 tsp chilli flakes
1/8 cup plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp baking powder.

Instructions
Method- 1. Add the drained chickpeas that have been soaked overnight to a food processor. 2. Process on high for about 15- 20 seconds till you get a soft crumbly texture. 3. Set aside.
4. To same processor add onion and process to a small dice. 5.Add the garlic, parsley and coriander leaves to the processor and process till you get a semi- fine mince. 6. Mix the breadcrumbs with the spices and salt.
7. Add the herb mixture as well as the breadcrumb mix to the processed chick peas. Mix well till thoroughly combined. 8. Add lemon juice, cumin seeds, black onion seeds and chilli flakes. 9. Check seasoning.
10. Add flour, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder. 11. Shape into balls and place in non-stick dish. Flatten. 12. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.
