     Split Green Bean (Mung) Dal

Ingredients
1 Cup Split Green Gram/Chilka Moong Dal (Split moong dhal)
2 Tomatoes
3-4 Green Chillies
1/2 tsp Fresh Minced Ginger
1/2 tsp. Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Coriander Leaves [chopped]
For Seasoning-
1 tsp. Oil
 
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Minced Garlic
A few Curry Leaves

Instructions
Soak washed moong dal for 10 minutes, if we soak for longer time dal skin will come out. Wash and chop tomato, slit green chilies, minced ginger and garlic, chop coriander leaves and keep aside.
Pressure cook dal for 3 whistles with tomatoes, chilies, ginger, turmeric powder and little water just covering dal.
Once pressure released mash dal slightly. Add mashed dal, salt and 1-2 cups of water (depends on the consistency you like your dal to be).
Bring it to a good boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and off flame
Serving Suggestions
Serve with steam rice and any side dish (veg) of your choice.
