     Baked Apple Bakewell Tart

Shortcrust pastry 3 granny smith apples 3tbs brown sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon Juice of one lemon Chop apples add sugar cinnamon and lemon and leave to sweat Almond cream - 125g butter / 125g sugar / 1/2tsp vanilla / 2 eggs / 1tbs plain flour / 125g ground almonds Nibbled almonds for the top Beat butter until creamy. Add sugar and vanilla and beat. Add eggs and flour and almonds. Spread some jam on the pastry (i used home made strawberry) Drain apples and arrange evenly over bottom of pastry case. Cover with the almond mixture sprinkle with flaked or nibbled almonds. Bake for 1 hour until golden. Allow to cool before turning out
