Beat first five ingredients slowly until all are mixed. Then beat fast for 3 minutes.
Bake in 9 x 13" greased and floured pan for 35 to 40 minutes at 350.
While baking, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice into a thin smooth mixture. Let the cake cool a bit and while still warm, poke holes into cake with a 2-prong meat fork. Spoon the sugar and juice mixture over the cake.
