     Meat Pies

Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1/2 cup pine nuts
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbls margarine
1 recipe of Arabic Bread dough
 

Instructions
Prepare ingredients as a hashwi for kibbi.
Roll dough out as pie crust. Cut 3 to 4 inch rounds. Place heaping tablespoon of filling in the center, keeping edges clean. Pinch the dough closed to form a triangle. If you are having trouble keeping the seam closed, dip your fingers in flour. Place triangles on a well greased sheet, close together.
Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
N.B. Madelain Farah's Recipe's are different than Mom's. The spices are different and in the Meat pies, the ingredients are placed in the pie raw and cooked in the oven. I've never done that. I've always done it the way Mom did
Serving Suggestions
Serve with laban.
