Carefully wipe mushrooms clean and halve. Clean and cut pepper into pieces.

Bring dressing to a boil and add mushrooms and pepper. Boil, stirring constantly, about 15 minutes.
|

|
Dump into a mesh strainer (DO NOT RINSE). Let sit 15 minutes or until cool and thoroughly drained. Scrape all (including spices) into a container, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

|
TIPS- White button mushrooms work well also. Green Bell Peppers, Pearl Onions (frozen), and 3/4 inch thick Zucchini or Yellow Squash also can be added (use just 8 oz. Mushrooms)
