     Italian nut and honey cake. (Like Sapori)

Ingredients
175g shelled almonds
125g shelled walnuts
225g chopped mixed peel
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice or mixed spice the same
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground coriander
150g plain flour
125g Icing sugar
1 tablespoon water
 
150g Runny honey
2 Rice paper (karti ta ostji)
Equipment 20cm loose bottom flan dish and heavy-based saucepan. Line base and sides of tin with rice

Instructions
Spread the nuts on a baking tray and toast in the oven until golden ,chopped them roughly.Add the chopped mixed peel ,spices and flour to the nuts and mix well together. Reserve 1tablespoon of the icing sugar and put the rest in a heavy-based pan with the water and the honey.Stir constantly with a wooden spoon over a low heat until bubbles appear on the surface. Remove from heat immediately. Gradually stir nut and fruit mixture into the syrup.Turn into prepared tin and smooth surface with wetted knife blade. Sprinkle with reserved icing sugar. Bake in oven for 30min 190c.Leave to cool in tin before cutting. Serve 10 portions.--) You have to try it delicious!!
